The work rate is 15 to 20 acres an hour! We only use the 22 centimeter points as they give us best penetration in our range of soils and little smearing. Less draft is required, reason why we can pull this machine at a depth of four inches with a John Deere 8520T. These points are cheaper than there larger alternatives. The whole range of points are easy to change as you just knock them on or off with a hammer. The cultivator is particularly good at leveling the ground, the secret to using wide rigid drills. Side benefits are easier combining and faster spraying as the boom no longer bounces around so much.
